Is Apple Pay available in El Salvador?

Apple Pay now available in Guatemala and El Salvador. Apple introduced its Apple Pay payments service to South Korea earlier this year in collaboration with Hyundai Card. Apple Pay is now being rolled out in Guatemala and El Salvador in collaboration with local banks.

Banco Promerica and BAC Credomatic are rolling out the feature in Guatemala and El Salvador. Both banks’ websites have been updated to confirm the news, which was also confirmed by 9to5Mac readers. Twitter user Aaron also confirmed that Apple Pay is launching in these countries today.

With Apple Pay, iPhone and Apple Watch users can pay with their devices in stores simply by holding their devices close to credit and debit card readers. Apple Pay can also be used online on apps and websites – in this case, the feature is available for iPad and Mac users as well.

Banco Promerica and BAC Credomatic customers can add any VISA and Mastercard credit and debit cards to Apple Pay. You can add a new card by going to the Wallet app on iPhone or the Settings app on iPad or iPad. For Apple Watch users, the process is handled through the Watch app.

It is recommended to have the latest version of the operating system installed on your device to ensure Apple Pay works with the latest banks added to the platform. We also recommend that you install the latest version of your banking application.
